Jewish Family Services is governed by a 22-member board of directors that determines the agency's policy and direction. All board officers and members are dedicated volunteers who give much time and energy to the agency, providing their wisdom and guidance.
President of the Board of Directors
Aaron March
Aaron March is a partner in the law firm of White, Goss, Bowers, March Schulte & Weisenfels. He concentrates his practice on economic development, zoning and land use matters. He primarily represents businesses and developers who wish to bring new business, expand existing business or construct new facilities in the Kansas City metropolitan area and throughout Missouri and Kansas. Aaron works with city, county and state officials to obtain the approvals necessary for development to occur, including the approval of public assistance programs, such as tax increment financing, tax abatement, rezonings and the issuance of building permits.
In addition to helping bring new jobs and new development to the Midwest, Aaron has a long history of civic and community involvement including serving as:
- President Charlotte Street Foundation;
- Chairman of the Friends of Art of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and Chairman of its Long-Range Planning Commission;
- Board Member of the Kansas City Trolley Corporation
- Board Member of the Shalom Geriatric Center;
- Board Member of the Kansas City Jazz Commission; and
- Co-Founder and President of Kansas City Jazz Festival, Inc.
Not knowing what he really wanted to do in life, Aaron received his quadruple major A.B. degree, cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
