JFS Passover Holiday Project

This year Jewish Family Services and Yachad Kosher Pantry are working together to lend a hand to families struggling to celebrate Passover. So far this year, demand for these packages has increased tremendously.
Thanks to a generous donation from the Avrum and Clara Feinstein Memorial Mazon Fund, JFS is giving more food than ever, the goal being to give each family food for the entire week, as well as Passover Seder.
Need help? Want to help?
If your family could use some assistance this Passover, or if you’d like to offer some assistance, please call Sondra Levy Atherly at JFS at (913) 327-8265 or satherly@jfskc.org.
Donate needed items: You can drop off kosher-for-Passover foods at the JFS office at the Jewish Community Campus. Foods needed include matzah, gefilte fish, desserts such as macaroons and candies, Shabbat candles and other items specifically marked as kosher for Passover. Items will be accepted until Monday March 22.
Offer financial support: Your generous support of this program enables families and individuals to continue their Passover traditions. You can donate on-line here, send us a check, or give us a call at (913) 327-8250.
Volunteer: Help us package Passover Food packages at JFS on Wednesday, March 24.
We need drivers to deliver food on the following days:
• Thursday, March 25: 10:00 a.m. - 6 p.m.
• Friday, March 26: 10:00 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Sunday, March 28: 11:00 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Monday, March 29: 11:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Special thanks to Congregation Beth Shalom, Congregation Beth Torah, the Jewish Community Campus, the Jewish Community Center and the New Reform Temple for their partnership and support.
