The struggle with eating disorders continues to be a prevalent matter in society. Approximately 200,000 women and men, girls and boys in the Kansas City Metro suffer from an eating disorder.
The Eating Disorder Resource Center (EDRC) at JFS is a comprehensive program with a multi-dimensional approach to meeting the needs of those whose lives are impacted by an eating disorder. JFS clinicians collaborate with treatment facilities, service providers, and health professionals to address the unique needs of individuals with eating disorders and the concerns of their families.
Awareness and education are essential components in helping friends, family and loved ones affected by this illness. Private counseling supports the individual and allows us to connect families to support services and treatment options.
