As we age, some things in life become more challenging. JFS is here to help with aging-related changes such as support to maintain a home, transportation, health needs, mobility requirements, bereavement, isolation, emotional concerns, lifestyle transitioning and more.
This program provides high quality, dependable minor home repairs and access to a variety of other services needed to help older adults maintain their independence at home. With Help@Home, older adults get the peace of mind they need to stay in control of their daily lives for as long as they choose to stay in their homes.
As we get older, it is not uncommon to feel sad about retirement, health problems, being lonely or the loss of friends or a loved one. If these feelings are strong or affect your everyday life, talk to us – we can help.
Care Management connects a care manager to you to help you decide what you need, what resources are available to help you, and to work closely with you to meet your goals. Whether these are health, financial, transportation, or beyond, we will create an individualized plan together, and then work with you to achieve your goals.
JET Transportation Programs
JET was established in 2007 with a grant from the Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Foundation, and a generous, anonymous donor within the Kansas City Jewish Community. The programs goals are to improve the ability of older adults to access transportation that meets their individual needs and to promote older adults’ independence through education and advocacy. There are a variety of transportation programs to meet older adults needs.
