Helping Older Adults Stay Active and Independent

JET Express
Provides safe, personal, door-to-door transportation for adults age 65+.  JET Express members can use the service for rides to the doctor, dentist, hairdresser, grocery store, volunteer commitments, or any activity keeping members active and independent. Riders pay $2.50 each way, and rides are provided by volunteer drivers in their own vehicles.

Need a ride?  Call Dawn Herbet, Director of Older Adult Initiatives at 913-327-8239 or e-mail dherbet@jfskc.org.

JFS Senior Transportation Resource Guide
Helps you maneuver through our area’s transportation maze to find the right transportation for your needs. From buses to taxis, to specialized van services, the Kansas City metro area has much to offer. Use the Senior Transportation Resource Guide, and know who to call and what questions to ask.

Did you know that you can donate your car to JFS and get a tax deduction?
Charitable Auto Resources, Inc. (CARS) will pick up your car, give you a receipt for your income taxes, and JFS would benefit from your generosity through the sale of your vehicle. Imagine, no more worrying about car insurance, maintaining your vehicle, and wondering if your car will start after having not been driven in a long time!

For more information about how you can help JFS continue to support our community, contact CARS or call Rachel Krantz at 913-327-8299.
