Each month, JFS distributes approximately 500 jars of peanut butter. Jelly is also very popular but costly for JFS to purchase through food networks.
JFS hopes to collect 2,500 jars of peanut butter and other spreadables during February.
1. Donate – Each month, the JFS Social Work Supported Pantry distributes approximately 500 jars of peanut butter. Jelly, ranch dressing, and ketchup are also very popular. Your gift today will “spread” further, so the pantry can buy these costly items in bulk! Donate Here.
2. Shop – Purchase peanut butter, jelly, and other spreadables while you’re out and about on your weekly grocery run. Drop items in the JFS donation barrels in the lobby of the J or at JFS Brookside.
3. Click & Shop – Shop the JFS food pantry’s Amazon Wish List to stock the shelves with the most needed spreadables and other items. Items are delivered directly to the JFS pantry!

4. Host a Drive – During February, our peanut butter and jelly drive encourages individuals, businesses, organizations, schools, youth groups, and neighborhoods to “spread the love” to our neighbors.
- Gather your team: Coordinate a drive at your workplace, school, or club – or recruit family, friends, and neighbors.
- Start collecting: Donate peanut butter, nut butter, jelly, Nutella, honey, or your favorite non-perishable!
- Weigh-in: Bring your donations to JFS in Brookside or Overland Park for a “weigh-in” or schedule a pick-up for your collection.
