JFS Snapshots provides a look behind the scenes with a short segment on Mindfulness in the Time of Coronavirus, hosted by John Pryor, a licensed professional counselor at JFS. John has completed specialized training in mindfulness-based interventions and incorporates this into his professional and personal life.
John shares how mindfulness as a part of daily life can help quell anxiety and uncertainties during these challenging times.
“Mindfulness allows us to experience the everyday stresses of life in a way that feels more secure.”
Spend a few minutes with John learning about mindfulness, and then try a mini mindfulness session he recorded.
“I connect with clients on a human-centered level while honoring our relationship and using that as a vessel for change.”
Especially during times of Coronavirus, JFS therapists have helped many of our clients deal with the stress and anxiety resulting from the chaos that we have all had to face.
“I hope to help create a better sense of awareness of what it is that impacts each person and how to use the thought processes that each of us naturally has while providing space to tweak, creating more spaces of wellness rather than getting stuck or tripping over bad habits that may have formed.”
