YouBeYou.us has been redesigned with information and resources about teen mental health and wellness. The site seeks to encourage youth to embrace a focus on progress rather than perfection in their daily life by integrating their mind, body, and soul through hope, help, and strength.
“The newly designed YouBeYou.us website is a wonderful addition to the programming and services we provide to schools across the Kansas City area. Sharing the message of hope, help, and strength has such a positive effect on the health and wellness of our youth. The website is a great place to find these messages, resources, and connections for anyone in the community.”
In addition to direct feeds to the YouBeYou social media sites, topics include information about:
- Hope + Strength
- Anxiety + Stress
- Depression
- Suicide Prevention
- Sexuality + Gender Identity
- Consent + Sexual Assault
- Substance Use
- Eating Disorders
You Be You offers programming in schools connecting teens and educators to positive mental health and wellness tools, as well as resources to find help for individuals, friends, and family. Resources include counseling through JFS and other community agencies and suicide prevention. The program is funded in part by the Children’s Services Fund of Jackson County.
