JFS Hanukkah Project 2020
Planning is underway for Hanukkah, which will have a few new twists this year. As you know, many families are struggling to make ends meet during this uncertain time. With your help, over 300 people will feel the warmth and light of the JFS Hanukkah Project!
Ways to Get Involved:
For those who love to shop for gifts from a Wish List… you will be matched with a child or teen by completing the Adoption Interest Form or emailing Holiday@jfskc.org by October 25th. You’ll receive a personalized wish list to shop for a child or teen via email. Gifts are due back to JFS between November 9–11.
Gift receipts are helpful when possible. Tax donation receipts are available at JFS for your gift or gift card donations.
NEW THIS YEAR! For those who prefer shopping from home. Your purchases will be shipped to JFS for wrapping & delivery. Links to online gift registries will be emailed to you and posted on this web page in late October.
Click here to indicate your interest in shopping from the Online Gift Registries in advance so you will be notified when the online registries are live.
Give Gift Cards
Gift cards allow families to choose correct sizes and styles, shop for groceries, or surprise a family member. Gift cards are requested to Target, Walmart, Amazon, Price Chopper, Hen House and HyVee. Increments of $25 suggested.
Gift cards should be delivered to JFS at The J (Kansas office) or mailed to JFS, Attn: Hanukkah Project, 5801 W. 115th Street, Suite 103, Overland Park, KS 66211.
A secure dropbox is available outside the orange JFS door if staff are not present.
Or donate online and we’ll purchase the gift cards for you!
Unfortunately, the annual gift wrapping event will not be held this year due to health and safety precautions.
Stay tuned… we are working on other ways you can safely volunteer with JFS this holiday season!
