A Virtual Class for Learn, Laugh, and Love
Facilitated by Lauren Glass, LCSW, Licensed Therapist with JFS and The Heritage Center at The J KC.
Yoga has been known to stimulate anti-aging hormones in our brain, help us have more flexible and limber bodies and retain muscle mass. We can also learn lessons in yoga that extend past the mat into our everyday lives.
By using yoga as a tool to tap into the unlimited power of now through breath and movement, we can let go of the nagging feeling that time is slipping away from us.
Wear comfy clothing and expect to participate in some movement seated in chairs. This is for ALL levels, even/especially someone who has never done yoga before but listen to your body and practice mindfully. Movements done too quickly can make you dizzy or cause strain.
Lauren Glass is a licensed clinical social worker in Kansas & Missouri and a 200-hour certified yoga teacher. She completed both her BSW & MSW programs at Florida Atlantic University. Her favorite techniques to use involve breathing, mindful movement & other short meditative practices that clients can freely access whenever they need to no matter where they may go.
